When a RSTP bridge detects a topology change, these occur:

– It flushes the MAC addresses associated with all these ports.
– It starts the TC While timer with a value equal to twice the hello-time for all its non-edge designated ports and its root port, if necessary.

This is from the link you provided my friend
chap hostname command is used to specify an alternate username that will be used for authentication.
For example, consider a situation where multiple remote devices are dialing into a central site. Using normal CHAP authentication, the username (which would be the hostname) of each remote device and a shared secret must be configured on the central router. In this scenario, the configuration of the central router can get lengthy and cumbersome to manage; however, if the remote devices use a username that is different from their hostname this can be avoided. The central site can be configured with a single username and shared secret that can be used to authenticate multiple dialin clients.

I used to choose on dump B .. and on many articles on internet says B. But reffering to my study it is D. and i wanted to get reference for that then i found on Cisco “Configure the usernames and passwords. To do so, issue the username username password password command, where username is the hostname of the peer. Ensure that”. so i think this is one of the dump mistakes which causes point lose for some members

I consider “TOPOLOGY TABLE” in a broad perspective which is the same as “ospf database”, it is the same in function! But I guess Cisco considers it a “Cisco term”, and “ospf database” an OSPF term. So for the sake of this question, Cisco does not agree OSPF has a “topology table”.

I still think “C” is a best practice which would apply to ALL routing protocols, but if the above is accurate, it becomes the best 2nd answer.

Why not D & E ? I agree that the OSPF algorithm puts a higher strain on routers, so D sure. But OSPF does have a TOP TABLE, and it obviously does have all advertised routes from which to choose to put in the routing table… “large” may be a matter of opinion, but having all routes would indicate substantial size compared to other routing protocols. So “E” seems to be the most correct. “C” could be said for any routing protocol? But “E” seems to be the best 2nd answer.

The deeper I get into these questions on 9tut, the more confusing the questions and answers and I’m not seeing much guidance on what are correct answers, or even if the questions are correct?! I can appreciate the investigative aspect of finding the answers, but ultimately it would be nice to know what the correct answer actually is… if the CCNA exam is actually this ambiguous, I’m in trouble.

Well I like this kind of hot arguments, Real requirements to be authenticated by a peer, is to have an username and password created locally well .. thats what we gonna use it for authenticate our self with remote router. CHAP requirement( see the below cisco link ) says the username what we created in the local device must match with Peers’ hostname and .. password should be matched both parties..
I know it’s pain to read big article but worth is…

@kurnia correct answer is E. path cost

Explanation

The path cost to the root bridge is the most important value to determine which port will become the root port on each non-root switch. In particular, the port with lowest cost to the root bridge will become root port (on non-root switch).

Which is correct? Chinese dumps and Hmizo are conflicting for these items

1.Which three statements about DWDM are true? (Choose three)
A. It allows a single strand of fiber to support bidirectional communications
B. It is used for long-distance and submarine cable systems
C. It can multiplex up to 256 channels on a single fiber
D. It supports both the SDH and SONET standards
E. Each channel can carry up to a 1-Gbps signal
F. It supports simplex communications over multiple strands of fiber

Is it CDE or ABD in the actual exam?
CDE in Chinese dumps
ABD in 100q Hmizo

2. Which port security violation mode allows traffic from valid mac address to pass but block traffic from invalid mac address?
A. protect
B. shutdown
C. shutdown vlan
D. restrict

A or B?
Shutdown in Chinese dumps
Protect in Hmizo

3. Which two steps must you perform on each device that is configured for IPv4 routing before you implement OSPFv3? (Choose two.)
A. configure an autonomous system number
B. configure a loopback interface
C. configure a router ID
D. enable IPv6 on an interface
E. enable IPv6 unicast routing

CE or DE?
CE in Chinese dumps
DE in Hmizo

I used the permit ip any any for the last entry in the ACL (hope it was the right one to use hehe). For the DnD yes, 3 slots to put straight through, crossover and rollover options.

@ice I’m not sure if they are the same, I used the v3 10.10 of the chinese ones. I found the link in one of the previous pages. For the sims I think they are the same, i don’t know if they looked different before but re-checking all of them wouldn’t take you that much.

Thanks @jan!

I already had some background with ccna so this time just used 2 weeks to prepare. 1 for studying the ICND 1&2 books (most important topics) and 1 for checking dumps and practice the labs.

Thanks 9tut and everyone for your contributions!

ACL 2 Modification 3
OSPF Neighbor
DnD Cables

Studied the questions from chinese dumps, 9tut, 100 new. Of course some questions may have the wrong answers, but if you have doubts just study the topic and follow your instincts. Didn’t find any other new question in the exam.
Labs were identical as in 9 tut, be sure you master the labs before taking the exam!
