Question number 2 – answers are incorrect. root port is defined as whole and designated port is elected for each segment. there are segments without single Root port but there isn’t single segment without Designated port

    @9tut: Q2: answers should be:

+ alternate: path to the root bridge that excludes the root port
+ designated: elect port for an individual LAN segment
+ disable: port that is excluded from the spanning-tree process
+ root: elected port for the spanning tree topology as a whole

There is a mistake in Q6: TCP UDP shoud be:
    TCP Transmits packets individually
(Explain because TCP control Packets who are not transmitted will be sent again)
UDP Transmit packet as a stream

@9tut- Q6,I guess, the Answers are bit wrong . TCP sends packet individually wheres UDP sends them in a Stream of data. TCP is reliable, but little slower, whereas UDP is fast(stream of data is sent) but unreliable, with no sequencing of data done. So kindly elaborate please.

@pat, @gaurav4u: Yes, TCP should send packet individually. Thanks for your detection, we have just updated it!

I think that TCP is stream oriented, thus making UDP send packets individually. Doesn’t TCP make a connection with the peer and then send the packets, although UDP is unrealiable and it sends them individually. So the answers should be:

    UDP :
    + Transmits packets individually
+ Uses higher transmission rate to support latency-sensitive apps
+ Transmissions include an 8-byte header

    TCP:
    + Sends Transmission in Sequence
+ Uses a lower transmission rate to ensure reliability
+ Transmits packets as a stream
